ServiceM8 help by location

Who helps with ServiceM8 in Brisbane?

FFP Digital is a ServiceM8 developer based in Ipswich, on Brisbane's western side. David Webster builds forms, reports, Xero joins and private add-ons for Brisbane and SEQ trades, and the same work over screenshare for owners anywhere in Australia. There is no Brisbane CBD shopfront. Brisbane jobs sit in the on-site radius.

How we cover Brisbane: We are based in Ipswich. Screenshare is the default for any Australian ServiceM8 account, including Brisbane. On-site sessions are for Brisbane and the rest of SEQ when watching the office is faster than guessing. There is no separate Brisbane CBD shopfront.

What FFP actually does

Questions owners in Brisbane ask

Are you in Brisbane CBD, or in Ipswich?

Ipswich. That is still SEQ, so Brisbane is in the on-site radius. There is no Queen Street shopfront, extra ABN or invented city staff. Screenshare remains the default.

Can you come to a workshop in Acacia Ridge?

Yes, when an hour at the board beats another call. Form and report work still happens on the account remotely after that visit.

Is this only for electricians at Yarrabilba?

No. Housing estates are part of the Brisbane mix. The product is ServiceM8, so plumbing, HVAC, pest and other licensed trades on the same software get the same kind of build.

Do I need to use QBCC forms if I also work Tweed?

On the Queensland site, yes, the paperwork follows QBCC and the Electrical Safety Office. Cross-border work needs the jurisdiction named on the form. We do not paste a NSW Fair Trading header onto a Brisbane invoice and call it done.

What Brisbane work actually sits in ServiceM8?

Brisbane is the SEQ hub, not a copy of Ipswich's western-edge mix. Northside and Moreton growth around North Lakes still looks like volume housing. South of the river you get Yarrabilba and Greater Flagstone estates plus older timber housing through Annerley, Moorooka and Salisbury. Industrial concentration is Eagle Farm, Pinkenba, Acacia Ridge and Rocklea: freight, food plants, and a site office that wants a PO on the invoice. Inner-city work at Hamilton, Teneriffe and Woolloongabba is more apartment, shutdown and building management than a new slab.

Owners usually open a ticket with FFP because the van is already on ServiceM8 and the office is not. Quotes still leave in Word. Test records sit in a glovebox. Xero gets a contact name and loses the site. The fix is to make the Brisbane job card hold the next inspection, the QBCC-relevant record, or the builder's progress claim without a parallel file.

Screenshare is still the default, even for a van parked in Murarrie. An on-site session is available because Brisbane is SEQ. That visit is to watch how the board is actually used, not to staff a fake Queen Street counter.

What QLD regulators want on a Brisbane job

Queensland building, plumbing and many trade licences sit with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission. Electrical licensing and electrical safety sit with the Electrical Safety Office, not with NSW Fair Trading and not with Victoria's Energy Safe. Installation results, variation records and test-and-tag against AS/NZS 3760 belong in ServiceM8 Forms so the PDF is on the job when the invoice goes.

Brisbane crews do cross the border to Tweed and down to the Gold Coast, and some take Toowoomba or Sunshine Coast work in the same week. The form has to name Queensland when the site is Queensland. Copying a Victorian Certificate of Electrical Safety header onto a Pinkenba job is how audits get messy.

How a Brisbane engagement actually runs

Most builds start on screenshare: one live job, one quote, one form. You get a fixed price for that piece. If the office is in Acacia Ridge or Northgate and watching the whiteboard for an hour would save a week of guessing, that on-site is on the table because it is a drive from Ipswich. We still do the form and report work on the account afterwards.

For Yarrabilba and Flagstone housing, the first useful build is often quote templates and a materials list that matches what the crew buys, not a southern-states demo file. For Eagle Farm and Rocklea, it is POs, gate names and a Xero invoice that still shows the dock. For inner-city HVAC and fire rounds, it is recurring jobs and the next-service date.

You do not need a Fortitude Valley meeting for a form. Ask for on-site only when the workflow is faster to see in the room.

  3. AS/NZS 3760 sets inspection and testing intervals for electrical equipment. The interval depends on the environment and equipment type, which is why a ServiceM8 form should capture those fields rather than a single copied date. Standards Australia, checked 19 Oct 2026.
