ServiceM8 help by location
Who helps with ServiceM8 in Sydney?
FFP Digital is a ServiceM8 developer in Ipswich, Queensland. David Webster builds forms, reports, Xero joins and private add-ons on your Sydney account over screenshare. There is no Sydney shopfront, staff desk or local ABN. On-site visits stay in South East Queensland. Western Sydney vans still run on the live account from Ipswich.

How we cover Sydney: Screenshare from Ipswich covers any Sydney ServiceM8 account. There is no Sydney office, phone or ABN. On-site sessions are SEQ only.
Trades this page is for
- Electricians on Western Sydney housing and inner-city apartment work
- Plumbers and drainers on domestic, strata and small commercial jobs
- HVAC vans covering CBD shutdowns and suburban maintenance rounds
- Pest, roofing and other NSW-licensed trades already running ServiceM8 in the van
What Sydney jobs usually need from ServiceM8
- Greenfield electrical and HVAC at Oran Park, Leppington, Marsden Park and Box Hill (NSW), where the quote changes before the slab.
- Industrial and logistics work at Wetherill Park, Silverwater and Port Botany, where the PO and site induction have to sit on the job.
- Strata and apartment work around Green Square, Olympic Park and the inner west, where access notes and plan numbers matter more than a street photo.
- Older housing in the Sutherland Shire, Penrith and the Hills, where test and tag and safety switch work is repeat business.
- Crews who already take Hunter or ACT jobs and need NSW Fair Trading fields that still make sense when the site postcode changes.
What FFP actually does
- Build ServiceM8 Forms for NSW compliance PDFs so Fair Trading-style records sit on the Sydney job, not in email.
- Fix quote templates, deposit invoices and Xero mappings so Western Sydney jobs stop double-handling in Word.
- Write custom reports (open quotes, next inspection, profit by category) the stock dashboards do not give a Sydney office.
- Build private add-ons on your account when native ServiceM8 cannot do the workflow. Not a public app store listing.
- Migrate from spreadsheets or another job system without inventing fields a Parramatta office will never use.
Questions owners in Sydney ask
Do you have a ServiceM8 office in Sydney?
No. FFP Digital is based in Ipswich, Queensland. Sydney work is screenshare on your live account. We will not invent a shopfront, staff phone or ABN in NSW.
Can you come to the workshop in Wetherill Park?
Not as a regular visit. On-site time is for South East Queensland offices. A Sydney workshop is handled by screenshare and a recording of the board if you need one.
Is this only for sparkies in Western Sydney?
No. The common Sydney mix is electrical, plumbing, HVAC and pest, but the product is ServiceM8. If your trade runs jobs, quotes and forms in the account, the same build applies.
Will my NSW forms work if I copied a QLD template?
Usually not. NSW Fair Trading licensing and home building documents are not QBCC documents. We rebuild the form so the regulator name and the fields match the state you are standing in.
What Sydney job mix actually breaks ServiceM8?
Greater Sydney is not one trade pattern. Western growth at Oran Park, Leppington, Marsden Park and Box Hill (NSW) means quote revisions before the slab, multiple site addresses, and builders who want a progress claim that matches the contract. Inner west and eastern suburbs work is more apartment and strata, with access notes, basement parking and a different invoice story. Port Botany, Silverwater and Wetherill Park are industrial: purchase orders, induction records, and a site contact who is not the billing contact.
ServiceM8 holds that if the job card is the source of truth. It falls over when the office still pastes quotes into Word, when a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work lives in email, or when Xero posts a suburb name and drops the PO. Sydney owners usually want the next inspection, the strata plan number, or a Western Sydney builder's claim schedule on the job, not a second spreadsheet.
FFP does not keep a desk in Parramatta or Alexandria. Screenshare is how a Sydney account gets built. If someone offers you a "Sydney ServiceM8 office", that is not this company.
Which NSW paperwork has to travel with the job?
New South Wales contractor licensing and home building paperwork sit with NSW Fair Trading, not with Queensland's QBCC. Electrical contractor work, plumbing and draining licences, and the consumer documents that follow a residential contract are NSW instruments. A form copied from a Brisbane template will name the wrong regulator and the wrong retention story.
Put the fields the licence actually needs into ServiceM8 Forms so the PDF is on the job when the invoice goes. If your crew also crosses to the ACT or up to the Hunter, the form set has to name the jurisdiction. That is a real build for a Sydney business that already works two states, not a suburb swap on a webpage.
How FFP works with a Sydney ServiceM8 account
You share read access. We look at one live Sydney job, one quote and one form. Then you get a fixed quote for that piece (a form, a report, a Xero mapping, a private add-on). We do not sell an open retainer or a "Sydney package".
For Western Sydney housing vans the first fix is often quote templates and a materials list that matches what you buy from a Reece or Haymans counter in Liverpool or Blacktown, not a demo catalogue. For Silverwater and Wetherill Park industrial, it is usually PO numbers, site names and a Xero invoice that still shows the dock. For strata-heavy inner Sydney, it is recurring jobs and the next-service date so the office is not hunting a spreadsheet at 6pm.
You do not drive to Ipswich for this. We do not fly in to pretence a Bondi workshop visit. Watching an SEQ office in person is the only on-site exception, and Sydney is outside that radius.

- AS/NZS 3760 sets inspection and testing intervals for electrical equipment. The interval depends on the environment and equipment type, which is why a ServiceM8 form should capture those fields rather than a single copied date. Standards Australia, checked 19 Oct 2026.
