Online bookings

How to add coreplus online bookings to your clinic website

coreplus has no iframe embed. Enable the Client Portal, map each specialty to its appointment types (the multi disciplinary piece), then copy the Booking Button link from Setup > Add Ons > Client Portal and paste it on your site as a button. Patients leave your site to book on coreplus's own hosted page.

Method
Hosted Client Portal page reached by a customisable Booking Button link (no iframe, no plugin)
On mobile
Because the Booking Button just opens a normal web page rather than an iframe, there is no scroll-inside-scroll problem on a phone. Test the button size: Small (40px) can be fiddly to tap accurately on a phone, so Large (58px) is the safer default for a mobile-heavy audience.
Can you track bookings?
Partly. There is a Google Analytics code field in the Client Portal's Theme Settings, so basic visits to the booking page can be measured. coreplus's help centre does not document a confirmation page path or a booking-completed event, so there is nothing to point a conversion tag at out of the box. See our coreplus bookings tracking guide for what you can build and the fallback for what you cannot.

Add coreplus bookings to any website builder

  1. In coreplus, go to Setup > Add Ons > Client Portal and turn it on. The portal will not go live for patients until every setup step below is finished, so you can safely enable it early.
  2. Go to Setup > Settings > Map Specialities to Appointment Types. Select a specialty, then move its appointment types across with the arrow buttons. Do this once per specialty: a physio, a myotherapist and a dietitian in the same clinic each get their own list, so patients booking online only see appointment types that match the practitioner type they picked.
  3. Set up a Practitioner Profile for each clinician (Client Portal > Set up Practitioner Profiles) and confirm availability and locations under Set availability and locations for Client Portal.
  4. Go to Setup > Settings > Define your Client Portal settings. Choose the part of the web address after 'au/' (the system rejects special characters such as '&'), upload your logo, write the booking page title and confirmation policy text, and link your Terms and Privacy Policy pages.
  5. Go to Setup > Add Ons > Client Portal > Booking Button. Pick a size (Small, 40px, or Large, 58px), a colour and the button text, then click Copy to Clipboard.
  6. Paste the copied button on your website (a Custom HTML block in WordPress, an Embed/HTML element in Webflow, Squarespace or Wix), publish, and make a real test booking on a phone and a desktop.

Track the bookings

  1. Add a Google Analytics code under Setup > Settings > Define your Client Portal settings > Theme Settings for page-level visit data.
  2. Read our full a2-coreplus-bookings-tracking guide before promising a client stakeholder a booking conversion number: the completion event needs to be built and tested by hand.

Why coreplus does not give you an iframe

Some practice software lets you paste an embed code that puts the booking calendar inside your own page. coreplus does not offer that for the Client Portal. Its own help centre describes only one integration path: copy a Booking Button link from Setup > Add Ons > Client Portal and paste it on your site, or generate a plain URL and use your website builder's own button element.

Clicking the button takes the patient to a page at coreplus's own address, with the part after "au/" set by you under Client Portal settings. That is a real limit if you wanted the booking calendar to sit inside your own layout. It is also the reason coreplus's tracking is simpler to reason about than an iframe based vendor's: there is no cross domain frame to fight, just a normal link to a page on a different domain.

If your website builder does not accept raw HTML (older Wix and Squarespace editors can be fussy about pasted script), use the plain client portal URL with the builder's native button element instead of the supplied embed snippet.

The multi disciplinary setting most guides skip

coreplus's Client Portal is built around specialties, not just practitioners. Before a physio, an exercise physiologist and a dietitian in the same building can all take bookings from the same portal, you map each specialty's appointment types separately under Setup > Settings > Map Specialities to Appointment Types.

Skip this step and patients booking online will either see appointment types that do not belong to the practitioner type they picked, or see nothing at all for a specialty that has not been mapped yet. Do the mapping once per specialty, and re check it whenever you add a new service or a new type of practitioner to the clinic, because a new appointment type is not automatically visible to any specialty until you place it there.

What patients see before they land on your booking page

The button itself is fully yours to brand: choose the size, the colour and the exact text under Setup > Add Ons > Client Portal > Booking Button. Once clicked, the page patients land on carries your logo, your booking page title and your own confirmation policy wording, all set under Define your Client Portal settings, so the handover from your website to coreplus does not look like a foreign system if you fill those fields in.
