Splose vs Halaxy: which suits a clinic that is mostly NDIS?

Splose charges $30 AUD a practitioner a month ex GST, rising to $36 from 1 November 2026. Halaxy's core platform has no subscription fee; NDIS claims are paid with credits at $0.15 to $0.22 each. For an NDIS heavy caseload, the deciding factor is each tool's claim workflow, not just the headline price. Checked 25 September 2026.

Splose

Pick Splose if you run a plan managed or bulk invoicing NDIS caseload and want the cost fixed per practitioner regardless of claim volume, plus a bulk upload file for the myplace portal.

Halaxy

Pick Halaxy if your NDIS claim volume per practitioner is genuinely light, so the no subscription model and per-credit claiming works out cheaper than a flat per-head fee; model your own claim volume first.

What it costs

Both bill in AUD. Splose is ex GST, billed monthly or annually per practitioner. Halaxy has no subscription fee at any headcount; its NDIS claiming cost is per credit, GST inclusive, so it does not reduce to a monthly figure without assuming a claim volume, which neither vendor publishes and we have not invented.. Prices captured 25 Sep 2026 from Splose and Halaxy.

Declared bias and what this page is for

FFP Digital builds websites and online booking and tracking setups for physio and allied health clinics, and we work with whichever practice software a clinic already runs. We are not a reseller for Splose or Halaxy and neither pays us for this page. Because so much of the cost of an NDIS heavy clinic sits in claiming and invoicing rather than the base subscription, this page weighs that workflow as heavily as the price.

A subscription against a per-claim meter

Splose charges $30 AUD a practitioner a month ex GST on monthly billing (or $27 annual), rising to $36 monthly ($32 annual) from 1 November 2026. That is a flat, predictable per-head cost regardless of how many NDIS claims you submit. Halaxy's core platform carries no subscription fee at any headcount, but every NDIS claim is paid for with a credit priced at $0.15 to $0.22 including GST, so a clinic that submits a high volume of NDIS claims pays more of its bill through that meter than through a monthly line. Which is cheaper depends entirely on claim volume per practitioner, a number Halaxy does not publish and we have not assumed on your behalf.

Bulk claiming and funding tracking

Splose's help guides describe an NDIS Bulk Payment Request file built for upload to the NDIS myplace portal, plus funding tracked through client cases with utilisation reporting and plan expiry reminders, so a plan manager or support coordinator can see remaining budget without leaving the platform. Halaxy's pricing page lists NDIS among the funding bodies its credit system submits claims to, alongside Medicare, DVA, ECLIPSE, TAC, HICAPS, Workcover and Comcare, but its pricing page does not describe a bulk upload file or a plan budget tracking view in the way Splose's help guides do.

What that means for a plan managed caseload

A clinic that is mostly plan managed and invoices in bulk each month is likely to find Splose's bulk upload file saves the most admin time, since the cost is fixed regardless of invoice volume. A clinic with a smaller or self managed NDIS caseload, submitting claims one at a time, may find Halaxy's no subscription model and per-claim credit works out cheaper, since it is not paying a flat monthly fee whether it submits ten claims or a hundred. Model your own claim volume against both figures before committing.

Common complaints and catches

Splose

  • Per practitioner price rises from $30 to $36 a month (monthly billing) on 1 November 2026
  • Every practitioner is a paid seat regardless of claim volume

Halaxy

  • The free core has no visible monthly bill, so real NDIS claiming cost is easy to underestimate until credits are added up
  • No bulk upload file for NDIS claims described on its pricing page

Switching between them

Client NDIS plan details, funding balances and appointments typically move by CSV export and import; check each vendor's help centre for exactly what carries across. Close out any pending NDIS claims and reconnect your funding body integration before switching off the old account, and rebuild your online booking embed on your website.
