What changed this year

  • Both items in the schedule rose by exactly 2.35 per cent against the 1 July 2025 schedule. The initial consultation (M600) moved from $70.66 to $72.32, and the standard consultation (M602) from $47.58 to $48.70.
  • The schedule itself did not restructure. It is the shortest of WorkSafe Victoria's allied health fee schedules, with just two item codes and no group, telehealth, travel or case conference item at all, in either the 2025 or 2026 version.
  • WorkSafe Victoria has never published a separate myotherapy fee schedule. The Remedial Massage Services schedule and its two items, M600 and M602, are what a myotherapist bills under, at the same fee as a remedial massage therapist.

What changed on 1 July 2026

WorkSafe Victoria's Remedial Massage Services fee schedule took effect 1 July 2026 with the same 2.35 per cent indexation seen across most of its allied health schedules this year. The initial consultation (M600) rose from $70.66 to $72.32, and the standard consultation (M602) from $47.58 to $48.70. Nothing else changed: this is the smallest of WorkSafe's allied health fee schedules, with only these two item codes in both the 2025 and 2026 versions, and no group, telehealth, travel or case conference item to go with them.

There is no separate myotherapy fee schedule

WorkSafe Victoria publishes fee schedules by service name across dozens of allied health categories, but myotherapy is not one of them. A myotherapist bills the same Remedial Massage Services schedule, and the same two item codes, M600 and M602, as a remedial massage therapist. The word myotherapy does not appear in the fee schedule PDF at all.

It does appear once, in the registration rules. WorkSafe's remedial massage services policy sets out five professional associations a provider can hold membership with to register for this schedule: the Australian Association of Massage Therapists at Diploma (Remedial Massage) Therapist level, the Association of Massage Therapists at Senior level one, the Australian Natural Therapists Association as a Member (A), the Australian Traditional Medicine Society as an Accredited member, and the Institute of Registered Myotherapists of Australia (IRMA) at Level two. A myotherapist registers through IRMA. Once registered, WorkSafe treats that provider the same as any other remedial massage provider: same item codes, same fee, no myotherapy premium and no myotherapy-specific item.

What that means for how you bill it

Because the fee schedule does not distinguish myotherapy from remedial massage, there is no wrong item code to pick between the two. The only thing worth checking is the provider's own registration, since WorkSafe's policy is specific about which association and which membership level qualifies, and a membership below the stated level (for example, an IRMA member below level two) is not automatically eligible to register as a WorkSafe provider under this schedule.

Loading the schedule into Cliniko

With only two item codes, this is the simplest WorkSafe schedule to set up in Cliniko: add M600 and M602 directly under Settings, Billable items, rather than building a bulk import CSV, and name them clearly, for example WorkSafe VIC M600 Initial consultation, so they are not mistaken for a privately billed massage or myotherapy appointment. If your clinic runs both massage therapists and myotherapists, the same two items cover both, since WorkSafe pays the identical fee regardless of which of the five recognised associations the treating practitioner belongs to. Update the two prices directly each July, or fold them into a bulk export, edit, re-import cycle if you are already doing that for a longer schedule elsewhere in the same Cliniko account.

Claiming notes

Load these fees into your practice software

  1. Import billable items in Cliniko from Settings, then Data & docs, then Data imports, then Billable items, Import.
  2. Because this schedule has only two item codes, you can add M600 and M602 directly in Cliniko under Settings, Billable items, without needing the CSV bulk import that makes sense for a longer schedule.
  3. Name each item clearly, for example WorkSafe VIC M600 Initial consultation, so reception does not confuse it with a private remedial massage or myotherapy appointment billed at your clinic's own rate.
  4. If your clinic employs both massage therapists and myotherapists, load M600 and M602 once and use them for either practitioner type, since WorkSafe pays the same fee regardless of which of the five recognised associations the practitioner belongs to.
  5. Confirm GST treatment with your accountant before setting the Taxable column, since WorkSafe's schedule only states that GST is paid on top of the fee where a service is taxable, without marking the items individually.
  6. Each July, update the two prices directly in Cliniko, or use the export, edit, re-import cycle on the Item ID and price columns if you manage this alongside a longer schedule for another discipline in the same account. Cliniko gives no undo on an import, so keep the original export.
